Famed Photographer Lorenz Holder & Red Bull BMX’er Senad Grosic Photo Series

f-stop, the world’s leading camera bag and accessory company announced today the release of the next chapter in popular Storyteller Series in partnership with Creative Agency, Guild26. Riding Thrones, a photography series by internationally acclaimed and two-time Red Bull Illume-winning photographer Lorenz Holder combines his two favorite things: BMX bikes and Game of Thrones. Taking place against some of the series’ most memorable backdrops, Holder and his subject Red Bull BMX rider Senad Grosic, create a stark contrast between the real world action of BMX and the fictional world of Game of Thrones’ Westeros.

From Lorenz
“About three years ago I was watching the first episode of the first season of Game of Thrones,” said Holder. “I can still remember how it hit me when I saw that first location – what they call the Haunted Forest. My mind just said, “Wow.” The landscapes and the look of the world of Westeros were amazing to see. I was immediately inspired and I knew I wanted to shoot there.”

Partnering with Guild26, f-stop and Holder birthed the latest installment in the Storyteller Series, Riding Thrones with Executive Producer & f-stop CMO Jonny Zeller at the helm.

“Part of the initial wave in the Storyteller Series, Riding Thrones is a powerful first step in a movement that hopes to redefine the way creators receive the resources they need to tell stories they otherwise couldn’t,” said Zeller, of the mission behind the series.

Part of Guild26’s Storyteller Series, funding for Riding Thrones came with no creative strings attached – simply the charge to create the best content possible in a way that tells a broader story.

Accompanying the photo series is a video feature showcasing the journey and story behind Riding Thrones, also directed by Zeller.

The Riding Thrones series will tour globally with exclusive events held in three countries and feature photographer Lorenz Holder, BMX Rider Senad Grosic and Executive Producer Jonny Zeller.

Lorenz Holder grew up in Munich, close to the Bavarian mountains, and it is those mountains that have always played a major role in his life. Lorenz was a semi-professional snowboarder back in the day, until he injured himself badly and he pretty much had to quit snowboarding for a whole season in 2003. In that time Lorenz discovered the pleasure of photography for himself. Lorenz was fascinated by photos that could describe a whole scene, a whole story or even a whole day, in just one small moment caught on film. This fascination was one of the biggest motivations for him to start his career as a professional photographer.
