Can a wheelie save the world? No. But social distancing can, and practicing wheelies can encourage social distancing. It can also bring us joy – something we could certainly use a little more of right about now.
As we all look for ways to help ourselves stay sane and maintain some connection to the bike through these tough times, PEARL iZUMi has partnered with pro trials rider Ryan Leech to open up FREE access to his 30-day wheelie tutorial starting today, April 1, to give riders a fun and meaningful goal to work toward, independently, throughout the month of April.
“I believe everyone deserves to experience the joy that comes from pulling off an effortless wheelie!” Ryan says. The program is all about slow, safe progression to getting that front tire off the ground — and lifting our spirits along with it. The course builds skills each day, bit-by-bit, until you can crack the code and confidently wheelie any time you please.
If you’re unable to get outside to practice right now, hang in there… Riders will have free access to the Wheelie Challenge through the end of June, so you can take things at your own pace!)
To spread the good vibes even further, for every person who signs up for the Wheelie Challenge PEARL iZUMi is donating $1 to Trips for Kids, an organization that provides bikes and cycling experiences through local chapters for at-risk youth and communities in need. Just when we thought wheelies couldn’t get any cooler…
If you’re ready to get your wheelie on this month, and come out the other side of this quarantine with a brand new skill to show the world, you can sign up for the free program here.
