YT Industries

YT Industries has been shaking up the mountain bike industry since they sold their first batch of steel dirt jumpers in 2007.

How was selling 150 dirt jumpers ground-breaking? Because YT Industries cut out the middlemen and sold the bikes directly to customers. Shortly after YT founder and CEO Markus Flossmann quit his day job and went all in on YT.

YT Industries’ first suspension bike was the Tues. A bike that has brought international fame to the German company. In 2014 Andreu Lacondeguy won Red Bull Rampage on his YT Tues, in 2017 Aaron Gwin won the DH World Cup overall title his YT Tues and Vali Holl has amassed a large number of race wins on her YT Tues. That’s not even mentioning what freeride legend Cam Zink has been able to accomplish on his YT Tues.

Since their early days YT has branched out to have a full range of mountain bikes. The popular YT Jeffsy is a trail shredding bike that is available in both popular wheel sizes and in both carbon fiber and aluminium. The Jeffsy uses the Virtual 4 Link suspension platform, YT’s take on a Horst Link setup. The shock is driven directly by the seat stays with a short link mounted to the seat tube to control the motion of the shock and provide added stiffness. Other models in the YT Industries lineup are the Capra; a 160mm travel bike that is available with both popular wheel sizes and in carbon and aluminium, the Tues; their race winning, Rampage winning downhill bike that is also available in both wheel sizes and both materials, and the Decoy; YT’s all new electric assist all mountain bike that is available as a 29er and a mullet bike that will introduce YT to a whole new group of mountain biking enthusiasts.

YT has been able to achieve so much in their short history that we only expect great things from them. Below you can find all of the reviews we’ve conducted aboard YT Industries bikes. We take pride in offering the most honest and up-front reviews in hopes that you can better inform yourself on any future purchasing decisions based on your local terrain and skill level.
