The legendary 1700 MTB wheels offer all the components you need for thrilling rides without any fuss. Their reputation is not out of nowhere: the wheels in the 1700 range are the popular choice for many MTB riders around the world. As times and demands change, the 1700 range has been updated accordingly. The new wheels come improved with category-specific asymmetrical welded aluminum rims, or lightweight carbon rims for cross-country use where weight is a key consideration. To top it off are the tested and trusted 350 hubs adapted to different practices and weight-saving DT competition race spokes. Whether your sense of fun is claiming the fastest time on your local single trails, planting the flag at the top of an unexplored summit, or descending tracks worthy of an Enduro world cup, the 1700 ticks all the boxes for all fun and no fuss.
CATEGORY-SPECIFIC ASYMETRICAL RIMS
Each category has a specific rim designed for its intended use. In addition, all of the rims in the 1700 category are now asymmetrical, ensuring a stronger wheel build thanks to more even spoke tension. Additionally the rims are specific to the front and rear, allowing us to find the sweet spot in terms of strength and agility.

350 HUBS
When it comes to cross country, fun is all about lightweight, which is why our go-to hub is the Ratchet SL, hand-laced on a carbon rim. For our all-mountain, enduro and hybrid wheels, the hub is the reliable 350 DEG with 72 teeth (60 teeth for hybrid), incorporating our state-of-the-art DEG DF technology, an anti-pedal kickback system fully integrated into the wheel. And the best part? They are tool-free to adjust, require low maintenance and add no extra weight. It’s just a radically simplified anti-pedal kickback system to ensure that pedal kickback won’t ruin the fun down the trail.

SIMPLIFIED ADJUSTABILITY
The new DF technology is an anti-pedal kickback device simplified to the max. Retrofittable to all Ratchet DEG freehub systems and lighter than other solutions, just replace the hubs threaded ring and the two ratchets to enjoy three different degrees of freehub movement: 0º, 10º and 20º.
- DF = 0º
The engagement angle of the Ratchet DEG hub is maintained, therefore not affecting the frame’s kinematic pedal kickback. The 0º setup could be better suited to a Cross Country practice, where freehub engagement speed is key. - DF = 10º
The freehub system has 10º of freedom to rotate with certainty before engaging, resulting in reduced pedal kickback. The 10º setup could be better suited to an All Mountain practice, where pedal kickback becomes noticeable and can be part of the bike setup. - DF = 20º
The freehub system has 20º of freedom to rotate with certainty before engaging, providing the greatest pedal kickback reduction in our system. The 20º setup could be better suited to the Enduro / Downhill practice, where pedal kickback is part of the bike setup.
DT COMPETITION RACE SPOKES
To make it lighter, the DT competition race spoke is coming with an extra thin middle section, while still ensuring stiffness and durability. Each spoke is then hand-laced to the hubs and rims using flat hex aluminum nipples to prevent tape pinching and create an even more durable wheelset.

HYBRID UPDATE
In recent years, we have seen the e-bike segment evolve alongside the development of more powerful motors. A new, reinforced aluminium wheelset is now available that can withstand the increased power and weight of e-bikes. However, under certain conditions, some of our other non-hybrid-specific wheels can still be mounted on your e-bikes.
