SDG: Can you tell us more about what your new signature SDG saddle means to you?

Brage Vestavik: I’ve always loved Norse Mythology and it represents where I’m from as well as my ancestors. It’s always cool for me to be able to bring in the old Norwegian culture and mythology.

SDG: So you have the same artwork on your body?

Brage Vestavik: [Yes,] I was also really stoked to work with my good friend Kai Robin, who is a tattoo artist from Norway that I love to use for most of my projects.

SDG: What do the characters in the art represent?

Brage: The snake on the top is “Midgardsormen,” a monstrous sea serpent that dwells below the oceans and encircles the earth. The two wolves (on the sides) are “Skoll” and “Hati,” who are destined to chase the moon and the sun.

SDG: Can you tell us more about the saddle itself?

Brage: I love the thicker leather look and I also really wanted to add the stitches that are inspired by old BMX seats. I’m so stoked we got to do that! The material works well in the wet too and doesn’t suck up water.

SDG: We know this custom saddle has been several years in the making, anything else you want to share?
