ABOUT JOES NO FLATS BIO DEGREASER
Joe’s No-Flats is an Israel-based manufacturer specializing in anti-puncture sealants, lubricants, and cleaning products for bicycles, established in 2002.
Using expertise from parent company Adhestick – who have been involved in adhesive and polymer-based product development since 1938 – Joe’s No-Flats has grown to become a major brand in the cycling industry.
Joe’s No-Flats Bicycle Bio Degreaser safely removes heavy grease and wax from bicycle components, seals, and painted surfaces without leaving harmful residues. While it is formulated for cycling, it’ll do a solid job on engine parts, guns and tool. The Bio Degreaser features a water-soluble formula to give easy spray-and-rinse usage. The eco-friendly ingredients are designed to meet stringent environmental standards, which is always great to see.
Joe’s No-Flats Bicycle Bio Degreaser is offered in 500ml, 1L or 5L bottles, all of which come with a spray nozzle. Retail price sits at $29.99 for the 1L / 34oz bottle.

THE DIRT
As a bike mechanic for way too many years, I’m around chemicals daily. From lubes and greases to heavy doses of your favorite drug addicts’ brake cleaners, I’m constantly looking for the least toxic way to spend my workday.
Having Joe’s Degreaser in the workshop has been a treat. I’m happily huffing my way around cleaning drivetrains and anything else that people over-lube on their bikes. The cleaner itself has an extremely mild odor compared to a lot of the other brands I’ve used. I’m sure my co-workers (not friends) appreciate me not fuming out the shop when I’m in the scrub tank, too.
Most of my usage has been on bicycle drivetrains. An over-lubed and neglected cassette that needs some scrub love has been the primary testing ground. Pulling the cassette and chain is absolutely the best way to ensure there’s no contamination on the rotor from overspray or chain lube residue getting flung all about, as that is a quick way to turn a routine job into a headache. But for less dirty jobs, a quick and careful spray, wipe, and rinse on the bike will do the trick in a pinch.

What else do you want me to say? “It makes all of your wildest dreams come true”?
It’s a degreaser. It does a great job and doesn’t stink up the place when in use. Spray it on, let it sit, scrub it up, wash it off, oil it down, and boom, you have a shiny new drivetrain.
The Wolf’s Last Word
Joe’s No-Flats Bicycle Bio Degreaser may not solve world hunger, but it does a great job of removing grime and grease. It’s soft on plastics and rubbers, but hard on your m…. greasy drivetrain. It’s something that I use in the shop daily, and it is priced just as well as the other options out there. It saves your nose hairs from burning out, and is at the top of my tool list in the workshop.
As long as you’re smart about using it – avoid overspray, wear safety glasses – then your relationship with this devious degreaser will be long and prosperous. ![]()
