MICRO-FINS
The Range Grip features a micro-fin pattern that supports your hand by allowing it to sink into the upper section of the grip, this provides an ultra supple hand feel on spicy terrain.

WAFFLE HOUSE
On the underside of this grip we designed a grid pattern that  your fingertips can really dig into, with a raised waffle section for that extra bite.

DUROMETER
The Range’s proprietary thermoplastic rubber comes in a 25A durometer. We’ve tested four or five compounds over the years and keep coming back to this one for its blend of cushiness and durability.

SMALL FRY, BIG FRY

The Range comes in two sizes. The Regular (30mm) runs thin for a supple feel that stays plugged into the trail, while the XL (35mm), favored by riders with larger hands, adds extra cushion on top of the already supple patterning.

FAQ

Why did we design the Range Grip?

We wanted to make a textural, squishy grip that fit beside our customer-loved Loam Grip for riders requesting a more minimal and supple hand feel.

How does it compare to the original Loam Grip?

First it comes down to pattern thickness. The Loam’s thicker pattern gives you structure, support, and more trail feedback. The Range’s thinner pattern lets your hand sink into the texture for a softer, more supple feel. The two size offerings differ too, with the Regular Range Grip being the thinnest of all four at around 30mm in diameter, while the Range XL is the thickest, at 35mm. The Range also adds a co-molded hard end and a grip clamp retention lip that does not come on the Loam.

LOAM GRIP

REGULAR | Responsive, firm, precise. Comfortable but moderate cushioning provides high trail feedback in our original grip package. 32 › 30mm diameter (2mm taper)

XL | Responsive, supportive, smooth. A larger diameter provides more hand support under load; while still retaining exceptional trail feedback with just enough damping. 34 › 32mm diameter (2mm taper)

RANGE GRIP

REGULAR | Soft, supple, direct. Micro-fins let your hand settle in for a more direct bar feel. Least damped, but highly cushy. 30mm diameter.

XL | Soft, supple with deep cushioning. Micro-fins plus base material make for a cushy, highly damped grip. The most forgiving option on rough terrain. 35mm diameter.

Are the sizes the same as the Loam Grip’s?

Same names, different numbers. Riders suggested the Loam Regular wasn’t quite thin enough and the XL wasn’t quite thick enough, so the Range Regular runs 30mm (vs. the Loam’s average 31mm) and the Range XL runs 35mm (vs. 33mm).

What’s with the Recycled Core?

We are always looking to harness environmentally friendly gains where we can. Our packaging was some of the first in the industry to cut out single use plastic and we’ve been testing recycled solutions with our Loam Grips, releasing small batches of Recycled Editions while making sure this solution is ready for a larger production batch. The Range Grips benefit from this recycled core which is made up of 80% repurposed maritime plastic. These are just small steps, but we’re dedicated to improving where we can.

These guys clock in at 90g for the Regular and 134g for the XL.
