A Short Scottish Shredit

This short shredit is all about celebrating local talent in the downhill community in the North East of Scotland.

It features Logan Dow, a fast young rider who clocked the fastest youth time of the day at a recent Dialled In Downhill race. I loved the idea of filming him on the exact same track where he took the win, the Pitfichie DH track. Beyond his ridiculous speed on a bike, Logan is just a really lovely, modest, and down-to-earth kid, which made working with him such a joy.

Creating this video was a sweet little project for me too, a gentle reminder to trust my instincts and enjoy the creative process. Everything really started with the music; I spent hours listening to tunes, letting visuals naturally pop into my head. When I stumbled across “Hooligang” by Joey Valence & Brae, I sent it over to Logan, and we both instantly knew it was the one. We headed out to the hill for a day to capture that raw, organic feel, and I brought it all together in the edit back home.

At its heart, this clip is just about having fun, being a little rowdy on the trail, and embracing what you love.
