The 23 Years Of Unit 23 Jam
Plus, Endura launches the new Forty1Thirty Collection
November 5, 2025
I (Rob) love BMX. Although it doesn’t feature as regularly in my schedule as I’d like, I still try to get myself to a skatepark from time to time. But the riding isn’t the only enjoyable part of BMX – the community and energy it brings is a large part of its appeal. When the “23 Years of Unit 23” BMX jam lined up on my calendar, it was a no-brainer to make the trip. And it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Endura just so happened to send me an invite to the event a couple of weeks after I’d already committed to attending it. Endura…supporting a rowdy BMX jam? I was well aware of their longstanding support for BMX legend Kriss Kyle, but it still came as a surprise.
As it turns out, Endura had a BMX-targeted clothing range in the works, which they’ve named Forty1Thirty (as in, the 4130 CrMo steel that is used to make most high-quality BMX frames). In their words, they “saw a gap for streetstyle yet technical bikewear in the BMX scene”. And admittedly, the use of clothing designed with any semblance of performance in mind on a BMX is scarce. So, perhaps in designing functional gear that’s “cool” enough for the BMX core to buy, they are onto something.
Not wanting to deliver a BMX collection without any relevance, Endura supported Scotland’s iconic Unit 23 skatepark. Once a home to Kriss Kyle (check out the old Unit Life videos, I’m not joking), Unit 23 is a key piece of Scotland’s – if not the World’s – BMX history. By helping Unit 23 refurbish their iconic “Mini Devil” bowl, Endura intelligently contributed to BMX history to accompany their new clothing collection, and rightfully earned their logo on the wall in the skatepark.
Here’s a selection of images I most enjoyed from the “23 Years of Unit 23” jam. Eisa Bakos captured the mood perfectly – creativity and courage, contrasting with absolute carnage.

BMX royalty mixing with the crowd. Safe to say I didn't drop in.

Cash prizes for being rad. In this case, an unthinkable bowl line that only Hector Spencer-Wood would do.
