Fox Factory Podium Fork
From the first laps that Robert enjoyed on the Fox Podium inverted single crown enduro fork, to Whistler epics and even some late-summer bike park laps on a blown-out Mt. Bachelor bike park under Drew, the Fox Podium has continued to impress. We have three Podium forks on long-term test and have had an overall positive experience, with no oil leaks on any of them. Although we have heard some comments, we’ve been lucky enough with all our forks. Where the Fox Podium shines is its incredible bump-eating capabilities that offer comfort and traction no matter the trail scenario, We’re incredibly stoked with Fox’s premium single crown fork, although the price tag is worth a second look. For The Loam Wolf crew, the Fox Podium is the best suspension product of 2025.
BEST TRAIL HELMET 2025
Fox Racing Speedframe Pro
Fox Racing went hard on new protective products over the past couple of years, including an overhaul to their Speedframe helmet lineup. We’ve been enjoying time in the Fox Speedframe RS, but its the lighter weight Fox Speedframe Pro that’s captured the hearts of our whole crew. At the time of writing, both rank in the top four mountain bike helmets on Virginia Tech, so their safety credentials are stellar. The low weight, high breathability and sleek looks make it very hard to beat. The Fox Speedframe Pro is our pick for Best Trail Helmet 2025.
BEST FULL FACE HELMET 2025
Fox Racing Rampage RS
While our crew didn’t test a huge range of full-face helmets this year, there is no denying that the Fox Rampage RS is a worthy award winner. Fox went the extra mile developing the safety tech and covering the details in the Rampage RS, and the result is notable when you’re riding in it. From its comfort to the breathability and reassuring feelings of safety, this is a stellar helmet. We’re looking forward to new colorways coming out, and are crossing our fingers for some more gloss raw carbon. Without a doubt, the Fox Rampage RS is the Best Full Face Helmet 2025 for our crew.
BEST AGGRESSIVE KNEE PAD 2025
DHaRCO Gravity Knee
2025 was a great year in the protection space. Lots of new brands and collaborations have brought the heat to the established players like D3O. We have tested over a dozen knee pads in 2025, and the DHaRCO Gravity Knee Pad stood out above the rest. With the protective insert supplied by RHEON – which is impressively flexible and breathable for a level 2-rated pad – DHaRCO built a worthy sleeve that keeps them comfortably in place and offers further protection on the flanks. As pedal-friendly pads for gravity riding, we’ve yet to come across anything better, making the DHaRCO Gravity Knee the Best Aggressive Knee Pad of 2025.
BEST MTB TIRE PRODUCT 2025
Schwalbe’s Radial Casing
After years of reliable and consistent performance, we were lucky enough to work with Schwalbe as sponsor of our eMTB Shootout and Lightweight eMTB Shootout again in 2025. Those sponsorships in no way guaranteed any award or positive endorsements, however, we are lucky enough to work with brands whose products we truly enjoy on these projects. Having them on board meant we spent a lot of time on their Magic Mary and Albert Radial Gravity tires this year, and we were extremely happy with their performance. To ensure we weren’t just drunk on the Kool-Aid, we gave several sets of these tires away to friends and acquaintances to ride and get their feedback, and they all came back with equally big smiles. With only one flat across nearly 30 different bikes, their reassuring durability has been much appreciated, but that’s not our favorite trait. The comfort, cornering confidence and feel that the Radial casing provides is somewhat transformative for every bike it is fitted to, and we’ve grown to truly love it. For those reasons The Loam Wolf’s Best Tire Product in 2025 is the Schwalbe Radial Casing.
BEST FULL POWER EBIKE SYSTEM 2025
Avinox M1
When you look back at the last year, it’s impossible to ignore the impact of the Avinox eBike system. Bringing insane power in a relatively compact and lightweight drive unit was impressive, but the durability has proven to be stellar, too. Possible even more impressive, though, is the continuous development Avinox have been working on, regularly releasing new features to further elevate the system’s performance. We’re excited to see what the future holds for Avinox and the competitors in the eBike space, and hope that we can get to a happy compromise for eBike legislation and acceptance, too. While other systems came close, our pick for Best Full Power eBike System 2025 is the Avinox M1.
BEST LIGHTWEIGHT EBIKE SYSTEM 2025
TQ HPR 60 eBike System
Though it’s not going to win any races in the eBike space, the TQ HPR 60 has impressed us with its silent and smooth operation. With their 580WH battery, range is exceptional, and the descents are thoroughly enjoyable thanks to the lack of rattle present in the system. The system also looks incredibly sleek thanks to its compact form factor, producing bike designs that barely look like eBikes at all. Standing out above the rest of the mid-power eMTB drive units, the TQ HPR 60 is the Best Lightweight eMTB System 2025 for our crew.
So there we have it, the mountain bike product awards for 2025 that were unanimous amongst The Loam Wolf crew. We’re excited to keep on testing the best products in the mountain bike world as we work towards our 2026 list!
