2025 BLACK FRIDAY DEALS
CHECK OUT THESE BIKE INDUSTRY BLACK FRIDAY DEALS
Temperatures have dropped. Halloween is behind us. And now, Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This, of course, means that the bike industry is ripe with Black Friday deals. From apparel and shoes to suspension and even complete bikes, brands are knocking thousands off retail prices.
So hopefully you are getting out to enjoy some of this epic, “all-time fall-time” weather before it is gone, and can take advantage of some epic deals while they last. Here’s what has caught our eye this Black Friday period.

SHIMANO XTR BRAKES
Okay, we all celebrated the long-awaited release of new Shimano products this year. The release included a new lineup of XTR and XT brakes, along with wireless drivetrains to match. As you might imagine, new Shimano offerings likely mean deals on the old ones, which is precisely what Competitive Cyclist is offering.
4-piston, Shimano XTR M9120 brakes for over $100 off. Go snatch up a set before they are gone.

SHIMANO XT BRAKES
Want a bit more savings? Shimano’s XT brakes are plenty powerful in most gravity riding situations.

MAXXIS TIRES
We get the opportunity to test many different tires throughout the year. While there are many standouts, there is a reason many of us keep coming back to Maxxis. And for most, it is the tried-and-true Assegai x DHR II combo we reach for.
Maxxis is currently 25% off at Competitive Cyclists, and there are quite a few size and compound options for that combo. Oh, and there are other Maxxis tires too.

EVOC BIKE TRAVEL BAG
Airports suck. Navigating airports and all that goes into a travel day with a bike sucks even more. Having a proper bike bag or case for airport travel makes things so much easier. The Evoc Bike Travel Bag is currently 20% off at Competitive Cyclist, and is the industry standard for many.

KONA PROCESS X CR
We reviewed the aluminum version of the Process X a little over a year ago, and found it to be a big bike for big chunk. However, we thought the price was too high. Now, the carbon version of that bike is 51% off at Jenson, offers a full-size range, and comes in a sick pink colorway. While there might be some components you want to upgrade, this Black Friday deal definitely leaves room in the budget to do so.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALTITUDE
We couldn’t include the Kona without mentioning saving 51% (size small) on a RM Altitude! This is another bike we tested over a year ago, and, damn, this was a great bike. It was for sure a standout enduro bike in 2024. While we tested the carbon version, we would happily pedal the alloy frame — especially considering thousands in savings. And, similar to the Kona, there may be some components on this A50 Shimano build that need upgrading. However, at just over $2,300 for a bike that retails at $4,799, there might be some room in the budget.

FOX SUSPENSION
There are stupid-good sales on Fox suspension currently at Jenson USA. With newer Fox products being released, older iterations are getting price reductions —many at 50% or more. There are a plethora of options to choose from, but here are two offerings we’ve enjoyed on many bikes we’ve ridden.

ROCKSHOX SUPER DELUXE ULTIMATE SHOCK
Okay, Fox isn’t the only suspension company with some great deals. We’re big fans of the Super Deluxe Ultimate — it is an excellent, do-it-all trail to enduro bike shock. Jenson has 2022 OE Super Deluxe Ultimates in a relatively common size for 30% off. If your bike is in the 150mm travel region, this could be a great option. Yes, a little old but still a great deal on a great shock.

RACE FACE INDY KNEE GUARDS
A classic. They’re comfy, they work great, and they are 60% off. If you have small legs, you can get them in black. Otherwise, you’ll need to opt for the “Loam” color, which, in our opinion, looks pretty sick.
Backcountry
Backcountry is offering a few interesting sale options, including cash back for new members. Much of their Black Friday sale stretches through all of November and ends on December 2.

POC TECTAL HELMET
Currently, Backcountry has the Tectal in three colorways — pink, white, and black. There is some limited sizing and specific colors see larger or smaller discounts. The white and black Tectals are 44% off, and are available in S, M, and L. The Pink is only available in L, but sees a 50% discount.

FOX UNION BOA
Not much needs to be said about Fox’s footwear…simply put, it kicks ass. These Union BOAs are some of our favorites. Depending on color and size, discounts range from 15% to 40%.

FIVE TEN TRAILCROSS SHOE
Those looking for one of the best flat pedal mountain bike shoes will likely land on Five Ten. If you don’t want to struggle trying to find your size and a color you can live with, Backcountry has a good inventory of Five Ten Trailcross shoes. They are 25% off and range from size 7 to 14, with half sizes from 7.5 to 12.5.
It is hard to beat Stealth rubber.

WILD RYE FREEL SHORTS
We love seeing more ladies on bikes and women’s mountain bike brands. When making these lists, we can definitely lean heavily into the men’s apparel. Ladies, we see you, and we apologize.
Awesome MTB brands like Wild Rye make apparel specifically for women — that is sick. While you may need to be thinking about warmer weather, Backcountry has the Freel Shorts for 55% off.
