Allied Cycle Works Introduces New Fitz Trail Bike

ALLIED CYCLE WORKS

THE NEW FITZ TRAIL BIKE

LIGHTWEIGHT 140MM TRAIL BIKE

February 4, 2026

Today, Allied Cycle Works announced the launch of its all-new trail bike, the FITZ. Featuring a versatile 140mm/140mm (rear/front) platform at an unheard-of weight for the trail category, FITZ is purpose-built for riders who want to pedal high above the treeline—and charge the descent back down. It marks ALLIED’s entry into the modern trail category with a clear point of view: lighter, faster, and more fun—no compromise.

“Trail bikes have become bloated over the past decade,” said Sam Pickman, Director of Product and Engineering at Allied Cycle Works. “FITZ was born from the idea that a trail bike doesn’t need to be heavy to be capable. We wanted something we could pedal all day into the backcountry, then point downhill and fully trust when the trail turns rough.”

A Trail Bike Built to Go Further

FITZ is designed for big-mountain trail riders who thrive on long, technical climbs and fast, rugged descents. As modern trail bikes continue to grow heavier and more complex, FITZ takes a different approach—focusing on the essentials: low weight, balanced kinematics, and a ride quality that stays responsive on real trails.

Built around a four-bar Horst Link suspension layout, the FITZ balances pedaling efficiency with downhill confi dence, helping riders maintain traction and momentum on technical climbs while staying composed at speed on rocky, root-strewn descents.

The result is a bike that blurs the line between XC and trail, offering the speed and stamina to go deep without sacrifi cing control when the terrain demands more.

Lightweight Without Gimmicks

Rather than chasing trends or designing around motors, FITZ embraces a pedal-fi rst philosophy. With 140mm of rear travel paired to a 140mm fork, FITZ hits the sweet spot for backcountry trail riding; effi cient enough for all-day missions, yet capable of handling aggressive lines, square-edge hits, and high-speed descents.

Key highlights include:

  • Weight starting as low as 26lbs for top-tier XX SL complete build
  • 140mm front / 140mm rear travel as stock, with compatibility for 150mm front / 150mm rear
  • 29” wheels with clearance for up to 2.6” tires
  • Long reach and a slack 64.5° head tube angle for confi dence and stability
  • 200mm + dropper post compatibility
  • Magnetic in-frame storage, using the same proven system found on ABLE
  • The FITZ will be available in two stock colors, with custom paint optional on all builds
