BONTRAGER’S REDESIGNED MTB WHEELS HAVE ARRIVED
October 2, 2025
Bontrager released its all-new Line Pro 30 carbon and Line Comp 30 alloy mountain bike wheels—redesigned from the rim up to deliver increased compliance, improved handling, and reliable durability for trail riders.
Built around a shallower 23.5mm rim depth, the new Line Pro 30 carbon wheels offer 13 percent more vertical compliance in the front and 11 percent more in the rear compared to previous models. This added compliance allows the wheels to better absorb impacts and vibrations, improving ride feel and reducing rider fatigue.
Despite the lower profile, strength remains uncompromised. Product engineers used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to model material stress and failure points, reinforcing specific zones to maintain long-term durability and impact resistance, even under aggressive riding conditions.

An offset spoke bed improves spoke angles, resulting in enhanced lateral stiffness and more consistent handling, especially during high-load cornering. This rim, spoke, and hub system is available on both Line Pro 30 carbon and Line Comp 30 alloy models.
Additional performance features include:
- Reinforced hook walls to reduce the risk of pinch flats
- An updated tubeless-ready tirewell that simplifies tire installation and seating for Bontrager tires and other MTB tire brands
- Compatibility with Bontrager’s TLR system, including tubeless rim strips, valves, and sealant—for a faster, more reliable setup (TLR rim strips and valves included with both carbon and alloy wheels)
BOTTOM LINE:
The all-new Line Pro 30 carbon MTB wheels strike the balance between strength and compliance—offering riders more control and capability without holding back.
While the Line Comp 30 alloy wheels bring the same trail-ready redesign to a more budget-friendly build, for a durable, do-it-all wheel.
Both models are now available at Trek retailers around the world, and online at trekbikes.com in select markets.
