Fox is redefining what’s possible for short-travel mountain bikes with the introduction of the all-new 34 SL. Designed for the most technical World Cup XC courses, and to match the increasing demands of these short-travel riders, the 34 SL brings unprecedented capability to a full-width 34 chassis with up to 130mm of travel — all while maintaining a World Cup race weight.

The new 34 SL builds upon the legacy of the class-leading 34 Step-Cast (SC), delivering enhanced stiffness, improved suppleness, and more travel. With the demand for 130mm travel growing among XC riders, Fox engineers developed a fork that pushes the limits of short-travel suspension performance.

KEY INNOVATIONS

• Full 34 Chassis – Unlike the Step-Cast design, the 34 SL utilizes a full 34 chassis with a larger volume air spring, allowing riders to choose from 110mm, 120mm, up to 130mm of travel without compromising weight.
• More Travel – Now available in 130mm, without a weight penalty, the new 34 SL gives you the suspension advantage to climb faster, descend harder, and recover quicker, so you can keep the hammer down.
• Redesigned Arch and Crown – A generatively designed arch increases torsional stiffness by 17% over the previous 34 SC, while increasing tire clearance. A new 7000 series aluminum crown features increased internal machining and a black anodized finish to further reduce weight.
• Increased Bushing Overlap – With 20% more bushing overlap than the 34 SC, the 34 SL delivers enhanced smoothness, giving riders better tracking through rough terrain, especially at higher speeds.
• GRIP SL Damper – Designed specifically for short-travel applications, the GRIP SL damper optimizes pedal-to-bump efficiency, ensuring a lightweight package with unparalleled ride feel.
• GRIP X Damper – Available in the 130mm chassis, the GRIP X damper brings trail-forward capability to the 34 SL.
• Inboard Bypass Channels – Relocated from the aft side to the inboard side, the bypass channels improve small bump sensitivity and reduce dynamic friction for a more responsive ride.
• Weight Optimization – The 34 SL weighs in at just 1475g (29” 130mm GRIP SL)—40g lighter than its closest competitor—while offering added stiffness and increased travel.
