2024 BLACK FRIDAY DEALS
CHECK OUT THESE BIKE INDUSTRY BLACK FRIDAY DEALS
It’s that time of year again. The holidays are just around the corner, which means it is time to start thinking about gifts for the mountain biker in your life. Or perhaps you are, in fact, “the mountain biker,” and you want to start planting some helpful hints for your family and loved ones. Fortunately, the bike industry is doing major Black Friday deals, making your job much easier.
Here at The Loam Wolf, we get many of the same Black Friday emails that hit your inbox. And while we were checking out what some of the industry’s biggest brands offer, we found some familiar products we absolutely love. As we shopped, the nostalgia from our time testing these products nearly made us click the “add to cart” button. So go ahead, check out the deals, drop the needed hints, and snag these deals while they last.
FIDLOCK HIP BELT
While I’ve (Travis) only had the Fidlock Hip Belt Double Bottle Base on a handful of rides now, it has quickly jumped up high on the list of my favorite hip packs. It is very comfortable, stays in place well, and allows for easy access to my water. The Fidlock bottles easily snap onto their base and remain secure even on the roughest trails, only releasing when you twist them. Pairing a Fidlock base on your bike with the hip pack allows for a lot of versatility, with the option to carry bottles and accessories on your bike or the pack. The hip pack has plenty of room for everything you need on a ride, including a waterproof compartment to store your phone on wet days. Watch for the full review of the Fidlock Hip Belt Double Bottle Base hitting the website soon!
You can save 20% sitewide in Fidlock’s webstore right now for Black Friday. Sale ends December 2, 2024.
RIDE FOX BLACK FRIDAY SALE
Looking to upgrade that entry level suspension, or maybe you want to upgrade the dampners in your previous generation forks? Well, Fox is offering a 25% discount on all Float X2 and Float DHX2 shocks and 20% off all Factory level forks. Fox has other deals on their site for Black Friday reaching up to 70% off.
ARI BIKES BLACK FRIDAY SALE
Ari’s Black Friday sale is in full swing, offering up to 50% some models, and thousands off a handful of builds. If you are looking at getting an ebike, whether it be a full power or an SL, Ari has a deal for you. The Nebo Peak and the Timp Peak are two of our favorite ebikes on the market right now, ones that we continuously recommend for the all, especially the budget minded rider. The BF deals going on right now make already affordably priced builds even cheaper, and might allow you to spring for the next build up.
7iDP FLEX KNEE GUARDS
While we haven’t gotten the opportunity to test these exact knee pads, we had quite a few 7iDP pads come through our office. From helmets to gloves to pads — elbow and knee — we’ve enjoyed the products 7iDP makes. Flexible, comfortable, and quality protection for your everyday trail ride, check out Flex Knee Guards by 7iDP. They regularly retail for $84.99, but Jenson is knocking 30% off right now.
MAGURA MT5 BRAKES
Brakes are arguably the most critical component on your bike, and often, an OEM spec that is skimped on. But with Jenson offering a set of Magura MT5s for just over $250, you no longer have to rely on weak brakes. We tested the MT5s, and after switching to different brake pads, we absolutely loved them.
CRANK BROTHERS MALLET ENDURO PEDALS
We all have our preference on clipless pedals, and these preferences typically come from what we have ridden the longest. When Crank Brothers released their Mallet Enduro pedal, many riders jumped ship from their usual pedal to join the Crank Bros crew. If you’re looking for a new platform, or it is just time for a new set, check out Jenson’s deal on Mallets.
RIDE CONCEPTS VICE SHOES
Ride Concepts is focused on only one thing: making the best mountain bike footwear available. And our hats off to them; they make some pretty damn good shoes. Few, if any, RC shoes haven’t received two thumbs-up from us, including the Vice Shoes. From pump tracks, dirt jumps, trail rides, or just casual wear, the RC Vice shoes are an easy choice — especially when Jenson has a full-size range for 50% off.
FOX RACING UNION BOA SHOE
Fox is an easy brand to trust, from protection to riding apparel. For years, the same comment has been heard at trailheads, “I wish Fox would just make a shoe already.” Fortunately, Fox Racing decided to throw their name in the shoe game and released a banger of a shoe. Check out what we thought of the Union BOA here, and then hop over to Competitive Cyclists for a discount on their Union BOA inventory.
SCHWALBE TIRES
Over the years, we have partnered with Schwalbe Tires on many of our bike shootout videos. We love the traction, speed, and predictability of Schwalbe, and for that reason, we have put Schwalbe tires on many of our personal bikes. An extra set of tires is always good, especially if you can snag a pair at a reduced price!
FOX RACING SPEEDFRAME HELMET
Did we mention that Fox makes some pretty phenomenal products? A top choice of ours for an everyday trail helmet is the Fox Speedframe. It’s light, has excellent features, MIPS protection, and looks pretty damn good. Competitive Cyclists has discounts on the Speedframe Pro and offers many different colorways and size options. Go check them out.
5DEV CRANKSET
Go look at the cranks on your bike. On the inside, near the pedal, you should see a little number corresponding to the length of your cranks. What is it? 170? 175? It is nearly 2025, and it’s time to stop bashing your pedals — shorten those things and grab some stylish 5Dev cranks simultaneously. We promise that a 165mm crank is hardly any less efficient, and you won’t be disappointed with 5Dev.
REVEL RAIL 29
Okay, okay, so we technically haven’t had a Revel in for review. But the company that started just a handful of years ago has grown quite a bit in popularity. This is undoubtedly partly due to the Canfield Balanced Formula suspension platform Revel uses — a suspension platform we are familiar with and very much enjoyed on the Canfield Lithium we tested a year or two ago. Yes, it is a tall order, but if you are considering a new bike, it is tough to pass up $2000 off a Revel Rail.
YETI SB 160
We know, another complete bike! But it is hard not to mention a Worldwide deal so good that it drops a Yeti SB 160 below $5000. For long-travel bikes that climb just as well as they descend, it is hard not to look at the brand that has won the Enduro World Cup two years running. We’ve had a chance to throw a leg over many Yetis, including the SB 160, and even have the brand’s newest SB 165 getting votes for the bike of the year.
