HARD MTB LEAGUE

RACE WEEK IS HERE

+ DOCUSERIES IN LIVE

May 19, 2026

BOISE, IDAHO – Race Week is here and so is the docuseries. Hard MTB League launches episode one of The Hard MTB Docuseries today on YouTube pulling back the curtain on what it takes to build the most complete mountain bike competition on the planet. The timing is no coincidence: as the cameras roll, forty riders from across the globe are arriving in Boise, Idaho for a full week of practice and seeding ahead of race day on Saturday, May 23.

After years of developing the format, building the field, and proving the concept, 2026 is the first full season — a Qualifier in May feeding directly into the Finals in October, with a $125k+ prize purse on the line. This is what it’s been building toward.

Episode 1

The Field

Forty riders — 28 men and 12 women — from across the MTB world have earned their spots in the qualifier. Defending champions Tegan Cruz and Kailey Skelton return alongside a roster that includes Kyle Strait, Nik Nestoroff, Bas Van Steenbergen, Jordy Scott, Taylor Ostgaard, and Mayumi Wakefield.

The Season So Far

The 2026 season has built steadily toward this week. Hard MTB League launched its free community ride series — the Hard MTB Challenge — with stops in St. George, San Diego, and Boise, bringing riders of all abilities together around local trails and local causes. On the partnership front, Ari Bikes, Canyon Bicycles, Deity Components, Frameworks Bicycles, and Specialized Bicycles have all joined as official sponsors — each brand aligned with the league’s mission to push the sport forward and support athletes at every level.

Race Week is what all of it has been building toward.

About Hard MTB League: Hard MTB League is the ultimate test of complete mountain biking ability. Founded by professional rider and filmmaker Braydon Bringhurst in 2023, Hard MTB fills a void in the sport by crowning riders who can do it all—climb, descend, jump, and navigate technical terrain at the highest level. While traditional competitions force specialization into strict disciplines, Hard MTB League celebrates versatility, pushing modern trail bikes and their riders to the absolute limit in a spectator-friendly format where fans witness every moment of the action. The league debuted as a Pro Invitational in 2024, showcasing elite athletes alongside community events that welcome riders of all abilities. Hard MTB League is the next evolution of competition—where the most complete all‑around rider shows what mountain biking is truly capable of.
