Jaxson Riddle Goes BIG!
Lands 100-foot Dirt-To-Dirt Jump
October 1, 2026
Professional freeride mountain bike athlete Jaxson Riddle released a new video showcasing an iconic feat, landing a 100-foot dirt-to-dirt handmade
jump. The edit was released today on the Jaxson’s YouTube channel, highlighting the inspiration, training and building of the man-made feature, pushing the limits of freeride mountain biking.
Riddle reached nearly 47 mph and spent two seconds in the air to clear the jump and land on the other side. The milestone marks a comeback for the athlete, who broke his ankle attempting the same jump last year.
“This project has been a few years in the making, so to be able to show what I’ve accomplished, building and landing one of the world’s longest man made feature, is special,” said Jaxson Riddle. “Being able to progress the sport that I love, showing what can be done with natural terrain, is what’s most important to me.”

Riddle was inspired by his motocross roots to attempt this project. Before he was on a downhill bike, Jaxson rode a dirt bike since the age of four. Growing up in St. George, Utah, which is the epicenter of freeride mountain biking, he committed to mountain biking. Quickly, he progressed, becoming one of the sport’s most creative talents, competing at his first Red Bull Rampage in 2021.
“[Freestyle motocross riders] use the landscape and the natural terrain and can make jumps out of anything,” Riddle explained. “That’s something I’ve always been inspired by.”
Determined to emulate that natural motocross style, he searched the nearby mountains of St. George to find something he could mold into a 100-foot jump. He desired to work with the existing terrain, and found a natural run-in, or lead-up trail, to the massive jump. Two hills lined up perfectly to serve at the jump. Then he got to work building the entire feature by hand, which took over a month of shovel work to hand pack and water the run-in.

“I always have the most respect for the person who hits the jump for the first time and unlocks it for everybody,” said professional freeride athlete and friend Tyler McCaul.
The release of the edit comes just ahead of the 25th anniversary of Red Bull Rampage, where Riddle is competing. This will be his fourth time competing at the storied freeride mountain bike event, where he’s received the “Best Style” and “Best Trick” awards.
You can watch Jaxson compete at Red Bull Rampage on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 AM MT live on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull Bike YouTube channel.
