THE NEW ALPINE TRAIL E

June 12, 2026

Our biggest, boldest enduro eMTB just got a complete overhaul. It’s got Bosch’s newest 120Nm, 600 percent assist Gen 5 CX motor, a completely redesigned Series 4 Aluminum frame and an 800Wh battery for maximum range. Three models will be available at launch – the smart-priced Alpine Trail E1, the masterclass Alpine Trail E2 and the Alpine Trail EXR for eMTB perfection.

Designed for monster climbs, gnarly descents and endless stoke – you’ll push harder, lap after lap. It’s for riders who tackle the steepest, most technical terrain – it’s lighter, more powerful, and more capable than ever before.

Engage your afterburners – the Alpine Trail E sheds 3lb (1,345g) with more power and longer range. With 170mm of suspension up front, 160mm of MultiTrac 2 travel at the rear, and Bosch’s groundbreaking CX motor at its core, this is what enduro eMTB should be.

More Power To Play.

ENGINEERING EFFICIENCY

The Alpine Trail E has evolved. Now with cleaner integration, Bosch’s latest motor and a slimmed-down look, it’s 3lb (1,345g) lighter. We kept what worked, and improved what mattered. The result? A bike that’s lighter than before while delivering the power for even more riding.

Our completely redesigned Series 4 Aluminum frame is a masterclass in efficient engineering. The frame has lost nearly 1lb (445g) – the rocker link dropped 30g, each seatstay clevis is 34 grams lighter, and we found weight savings everywhere from the chainstay bridge to the dropouts. Optimized is clichéd, but it’s exactly what we’ve done. And the real magic is in what we didn’t sacrifice – the frame is more capable than ever while being lighter and sleeker.

Just because it has lost weight doesn’t mean we’ve gutted features. Weather-sealed internal cable routing, SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger, Boost 148x12mm axle spacing, and chunky chainstay and downtube protection are all there. There’s room to carry tools under your top tube with dedicated bosses, and two sets of bosses on the downtube for either a water bottle or a PowerMore range extender.

We’ve designed our motor cover with cooling in mind. Maximizing air flow helps prevent power throttling on marathon climbs, so you keep hauling. Our slimmer downtube and motor housing has boosted ground clearance by 37mm – you’ve got the confidence to tackle gnarly descents without hesitation.

POWER THAT MATTERS

Transform steep climbs into joyrides with Bosch’s groundbreaking Gen 5 Performance Line CX motor. Adjustable Extended Boost (Bosch’s overrun feature), a 600 per cent support ratio, 750 watts of power and 120Nm of torque unlock superhuman climbing power. Redefine what’s possible on technical terrain – hammer to the trailhead or clean janky climbs.

Bosch’s Gen 5 motor and energy-dense 800Wh battery lock in extra weight savings. Combined, they’re 1.5lb (700g) lighter than the Gen 4 motor and 750Wh battery. Hats off to our engineers – they removed unnecessary mounting hardware saving a massive 2lb (900g).

Range anxiety is a thing of the past with the biggest battery. It’s cleanly integrated into the bike’s downtube. Release it with a single Allen key for off-bike charging or speedy swaps – no motor removal is required.

We’ve put the largest battery into our small frame – riders of all sizes are going to love the Alpine Trail E. Every model (E1, E2, EXR) is fitted with the 800Wh unit, but the smaller, lighter party lap-ready 600Wh version can be dropped in without needing any extra parts. If you’re chasing maximum range pair the 800Wh with the 250Wh external PowerMore range extender. More power, more range, less weight – the holy trinity of eMTB design.

We’ve fitted Bosch’s premium 2in color Kiox 400C display to every model. It’s cleanly integrated into the top tube and connects seamlessly to the Bosch eBike Flow smartphone app – track your rides, plan routes and dial in motor settings.

We love headache-free riding and know you love it too. Bosch’s proven rattle-free ride and immense, natural feeling power are the industry’s performance benchmarks. The brand’s reliability record means fewer issues, and its global warranty and service network give riders peace of mind. We’re stoked when you’re riding, and Bosch’s motor is a big part of keeping you on the trails.

A HANDLING MASTERCLASS

The Alpine Trail E doesn’t just weigh less – it feels lighter than it weighs. Battery placement is everything. The 800Wh PowerTube sits low in the downtube, keeping mass where it matters most. The shorter 430mm battery length means the front end stays light and easy to control – exactly how an enduro bike should feel. You get the range of a big battery without the front-heavy handling penalty that kills confidence on technical terrain.

BUILT TO SEND IT

The 160mm travel MultiTrac 2 suspension system balances progression, support and suppleness. The Horst-link design is massively tunable for aggressive enduro riding, resulting in a predictable, fun and capable ride – wiping the grin from your face won’t be possible. When the terrain gets tough, the Alpine Trail E has your back.

We’ve amped up our damper tunes so you spend less time puzzling over settings. Custom-tuned shocks match the fork and frame kinematics. We don’t use off-the-shelf parts – we’ve worked directly with RockShox and X-Fusion to get the perfect damper feel for the Alpine Trail E’s suspension platform. The front and rear work together as a complete system, like all our full suspension bikes.

RIDER’S CHOICE

Lock in your personal setup with adjustable geometry. Swap out the upper headset cup for ±0.75-degrees of adjustment – go slack for fast descents or steepen it up for tight tech. Chainstay flip chips adjust bottom bracket height by 6mm from 352mm (high, short) to 345mm (low, long) and chainstay length by 8mm from 442mm (high, short) to 450mm (low, long) – find your sweet spot and own it.

MIXED WHEELS

29in up front, 27.5in out back beautifully blend stability and agility. The mullet configuration is the rider’s choice – the rollover and traction benefits of a big front wheel with the agility and acceleration of a smaller rear wheel. It’s the best of both worlds for aggressive enduro riding.
