Entering its sixth year, the MegaVolt, North America’s only multi-day eMTB festival, is expanding in 2026 with two events and two completely different riding zones. The festival has become a premier gathering for eMTB riders, and this year we’re adding even more terrain, community, and adventure to explore.

SAVE THE DATES

  • Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island – May 29-31, 2026
  • Squamish – October 2-4, 2026

This spring, the MegaVolt rolls into the Cowichan Valley, one of Vancouver Island’s most diverse riding zones, with forested singletrack, flowy features, and just enough technical punch to keep eMTBs fully engaged. Two distinct trail systems in the region offer the perfect mix for a weekend of exploring.

The second event lands in Squamish, a place synonymous with world-class riding. Granite slabs, forest loam, and big, memorable lines make it an incredible fit for eMTB. It’s a chance to experience some of the most iconic terrain on the continent through the MegaVolt lens.

“The MegaVolt has grown right alongside eMTB. With two locations in 2026, we can dig deeper into what makes this sport so much fun: community, exploration, and the freedom to ride more.” – Andreas Hestler, BCBR Marketing Director and Co-founder

A WEEKEND FOR EVERY EMTB RIDER

Just as eMTB is changing how we ride bikes, the MegaVolt is redefining what a bike event can be. This isn’t a single-format race; it’s a three-day festival built around exploration, challenge, technology and community.

Each MegaVolt weekend will feature a lineup crafted specifically for eMTBs with intermediate and advanced courses:

eXC | The MegaVolt’s eXC pushes the limits of both rider and battery endurance. RACE or RIDE the marked course, supported by our eBike Patrol and medical teams. It’s a staple of the MV experience.

eEnduro | The eEnduro returns as one of the festival’s most popular competitive formats with timed downhill stages, untimed transitions, and the perfect playground for modern eMTBs.

Trailforks Adventure Challenge | Using Trailforks, find the checkpoints for bragging rights and a killer day on the trails with new and familiar riding buddies. The crowd favourite!

Alongside our marquee events, both weekends will include plenty of opportunities to ride, demo bikes from leading brands, entertainment and some good old-fashioned aprés fun.

If you love eMTB or you’re e-curious, this is where you want to be.

Full event schedules, route previews, and partner announcements will roll out in the coming weeks.

A GROWING FESTIVAL FOR A GROWING SPORT

The MegaVolt has always been dedicated to exploring what’s possible on modern eMTBs. Expanding to two locations lets us push that concept even further with different terrain, a different time of year, and an extra chance to have a damn good time on bikes.

“The MegaVolt started as a small gathering of eMTB nerds, but it has grown into one of the most anticipated weekends of the year. Expanding to two events is a natural next step for the festival and for the eMTB community.” – Dean Payne, President, BC Bike Race

Each year, the MegaVolt has welcomed close to 200 riders, demo partners, and industry participants, proof that the eMTB community is growing fast and showing up.

Each weekend will feature a mix of events and chances to socialize. Expanding to new communities means more terrain to explore, more chances to test the latest tech, and more time to ride with the people who are shaping eMTB’s future.
