THE RAAW MADONNA R
April 28, 2026
Everything You Need, Nothing You Don’t.
The RAAW journey began in 2016 with a singular focus: the original Madonna. It was a bike built to be fast, balanced, durable, intuitive, and easy to live with. Ten years later, a lot has changed at RAAW, but that mission remains unchanged.
While our recently launched Madonna V3.2 stands as our high-performance benchmark enduro bike for those who love to fine-tune every detail, we recognise that not everyone needs all the bells and whistles all of the time.
Introducing the Madonna R. It is the Madonna stripped back to its purest form—a bike designed for the rider who wants to just grab their bike and go, without a second thought given to settings or “what ifs.”
It is ready for everything from chilled home trail pedals to flat-out bike park laps. Delivering 165 mm of rear travel paired with a 170 mm fork, it is available in either a full 29” or mullet configuration and is built to be just as sendable and durable as our other bikes.
Geometry and Suspension
The Madonna R follows our proven geometry philosophy, offered in sizes M through XL. A 64° head angle and a 480 mm reach (Size Large) are paired with size-specific chainstays that grow with the frame. By combining a low BB with a high stack height, the bike naturally places the rider in a centred, confident position—a characteristic the Madonna has become famous for.
The four-bar suspension layout provides a predictable 28% progression. It is designed to be remarkably supple off the top for maximum traction while building support through the travel to handle heavy compressions and big hits without drama.

Hardware
Double-sealed pivots, external cable routing, and UDH compatibility reinforce the Madonna R’s durable and functional design. Nearly all hardware is shared with our other bikes, complemented by a new flip chip on the lower shock mount, allowing easy switching between 29” and mullet setups.
Frame Protection
The frame is wrapped in custom-moulded soft rubber protective pieces. The downtube protector covers the full width of the downtube and offers 5 mm of cushioning to soak up rock strikes, while the chainstay protector integrates cable routing and protects against heel rub. Protection is topped off with coverage on the seat stay and main pivot, as well as a pre-cut clear wrap kit to keep the finish looking fresh after seasons of abuse.
Tuned Shocks & Preset Suspension
We work closely with Fox and Öhlins to ensure the frame kinematics and shocks are perfectly synchronised. Through these partnerships, we offer custom-tuned shocks specifically optimised to complement our kinematics, delivering top-notch chassis performance no matter your choice of suspension brand. To help you dial in your bike as quickly as possible, we have developed extensive setup guides that go far beyond basic recommendations. Our plug-and-play suspension setups are based on real-world testing and expert input, helping you get the best possible performance straight out of the box. On top of that, we can preset your suspension before shipping your Madonna. Simply enter your weight (including all riding gear) at checkout, and we’ll take care of the rest. From ride one, you’ll unlock the full potential of your bike without needing to do the heavy lifting yourself.
Madonna R vs. Madonna V3.2
Two different versions of the Madonna, each with a distinct philosophy, but both as purposeful in their appearance as they are in their performance.
The Madonna V3.2 is the fifth iteration and our benchmark enduro bike. The extensive adjustability through the Toolbox Concept, the wide size range, two rocker links, and the CNC-intensive design characterise its no-compromise ethos. If you want full adjustability and a bike you can adapt, learn from, and tinker with, the V3.2 is the bike for you.
The Madonna R is a true rider’s bike with an undiluted focus. It’s produced to the same quality standards, in the same factory as the V3.2, but reduced to its essence. Less adjustability, less tinkering, more riding. The Madonna R’s simplicity allows for a 25% lower price point for the frame kit, making it the ideal choice for those who just want to grab and go.
