The inaugural Red Bull Rampage was held in 2001, and since then, 18 different events and 10 different winners have secured their place in the history books. The event serves as ground zero for human potential, sending shockwaves far beyond desert cliffs, inspiring fearlessness, progression and transcending sport worldwide. Here’s all you need to know:
- The event is back with a two-day format that was first introduced in 2024, with the top female freeride mountain bike athletes competing on Thursday October 16th and top male freeride athletes riding on Saturday October 18th.
- Each division will compete on the most challenging terrain in the world, redefining what’s possible on a mountain bike, for a chance to stand atop the podium and join the elite group of athletes who’ve etched their names into history.
- Last year, Brandon Semenuk (CAN) emerged victorious with a run worthy of the history books as he returned to take his record-breaking fifth triumph at the event. In the women’s category Robin Goomes (NZL) claimed the coveted win with a line that was a nod to the old school Red Bull Rampage runs, gnarly and technical, which she felt embodied the spirit of freeride.
- Red Bull Rampage transcends sporting borders. It’s the ultimate action sports competition, testing a rider’s skill, mental fortitude, and physical capacity on a mountain bike. This event truly pushes the boundaries of big mountain freeriding.
