Whyte is pleased to introduce its latest gravity race eMTB: the all-new e-180 Works MX. Built around the first ever competition focused eMTB engine, the brand-new Bosch Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition motor, the e-180 Works MX is designed to be the ultimate Super E-Enduro race bike for – and by – the fastest riders on the fiercest courses.

ALL-NEW FRAMESET

Featuring an all-new gravity frameset with race dominating 180mm front/170mm rear suspension, MX wheels (29er front, 27.5” rear), and monster 750Wh internal battery, the e-180’s frame maximises the advantage of our unique tilted motor and super low-slung battery arrangement – which brings the bike’s centre of gravity as low as possible – to deliver riders ultra-stable, dynamically centred and confident handling on any terrain. Our ‘in-tube’ battery design also creates a stronger, sleeker, smarter frame that exceeds the highest safety levels by nearly 250% in some areas; vital when racing events that are longer, harder and more brutal than any other in mountain biking.

THE POWER TO PERFORM

The Bosch Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition motor is the first competition focused e-bike engine that delivers more power, more quickly and for longer from a lighter block. Boosting rider power by up to 400% to gain gaps out of every corner and hit jumps and features full-send, its unique ‘Race’ mode with ‘Hill Hold’ and ‘Prolonged Extended Boost’ features let skilled riders crush even the most technical climbs even when they can’t even get a full pedal stroke in by kick-boosting through. It’s also the lightest motor Bosch have ever built, with a unique graphite look.

CUSTOM-TUNED SUSPENSION

Whyte’s Senior Engineer and current and two-time British Enduro Series Champion, Sam Shucksmith, has channeled his 15 years of racing experience to develop and meticulously tune the e-180 Work MX’s custom-tuned RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock to deliver riders the perfect balance of support, grip, confidence, and control right from the first ride.

Motor performance, battery efficiency, even security and route planning – and much, much more – can all be controlled and customized.

Priced at £9799, the e-180 Works MX is the flagship model that tops out an all-new e180 range, which also includes the e-180 RSX MX (£8799) and e-180 S MX (£6799) models. All share the same frameset, MX wheel configuration, and 750Wh batteries but the RSX MX and S MX models are focused on self-shuttle gravity/bike park and big mountain terrain riding – each dressed accordingly in sorted ‘right from the box’ parts – and powered by the bombproof reliable Bosch Performance Line CX 85Nm motor.
