FIRST RIDE REVIEW
THE NEW YETI LT
NEW NAME, SAME PEDIGREE
July 14, 2026
Bringing the Sixfinity platform to the meat-powered world for the first time (at least, the first time you can buy), the Yeti LT represents a leap forward in bump-eating capabilities for a Yeti enduro machine, with minimal penalty to the pedaling efficiency we’ve come to expect.
It’s early days, but so far we can safely say that Yeti’s new enduro mountain bike machine is a certified ripper.
Initial Setup And Testing
Though my ride has been somewhat limited pre-launch, I can very definitively say that this bike is going to be a real contender as a top enduro bike this year. After about one ride I was acclimated to the weight, feel, and nature of the bike. While there is a ton of adjustability offered up on the Yeti LT, riders need not be worried if they’re a set and forget type of person. I spent the better part of my first rides aboard the LT with the bike in the +10mm chainstay position, 20% Suspension rate, and dual 29″ wheels with the chip in the 29″ wheel position.
I love a fun and playful bike, however I derive most of my fun from speed, natural gaps and the quest for improving DH times. If you’re a rider who seeks out all the side hits, manuals, effortless airs and popping off the smallest features on the sides of the trail, then you may be a candidate for the 0-mm chainstay option, or even running the bike with a 27.5″ rear wheel.
Over the course of our testing we’ll pass the bike on to other riders, but for me, I believe I’ve found my happy place already. Instead I’ll spend more time playing with all the suspension capabilities and comparing the difference between the 20% chip with an additional volume reducer in the shock and the stock volume and 25% suspension rate.
THE WOLF’S FIRST RIDE IMPRESSIONS
After having so much fun riding the Yeti MTe, which was a leading bike in our Mid-Power Electric Mountain Bike Shootout last year, the entire crew had big expectations from the new Yeti LT. The hopes of an even more playful 34lb mountain bike that had the same suspension feel of the MTe has been delivered and we’re about it.
While some may start losing interest already, let me backup and state that while I have a soft-spot for Yeti Cycles in my old dusty heart due to the nostalgia I have from being a kid in the 90’s, I haven’t really been a huge fan of their bikes DH performance for my riding style and terrain. While it’s undeniable Richie Rude and other pro athletes can prove otherwise, I felt the bikes were a bit too harsh and chattery. The fatigue I felt on extended descents outweighed the impressive climbing capabilities found on the SB line of bikes. Why share all this? Well, we know in this day and age of influencers, affiliate links and paid content, things can be hard to trust. We wanted to say, the fondness over this bike isn’t coming from a die-hard Yeti fanboy or any other obligation beyond the obligation to fun, to our readers and to covering interesting new releases in the MTB world.
My first testing began at Mt. Bachelor with a shakedown run on a solid black diamond that sports a mix of embedded lava rock gardens, loose over hard terrain, high speed moto-whoop berms, awkward rises to small drops and a few quick transition berms. It’s a great test of bikes as it lets me focus on just about every aspect of a bike’s performance.
In the 20% position, I enjoyed a pillowy-feeling back end every time the rear wheel touched down from the small pre-hops or up-and-overs on my test loop. The rear suspension efficiently sucked up the hits and without distracting me, shifting my body position or robbing forward momentum. When it came time to push hard into fast, sharp hits, I was equally happy at the rear end’s ability to move away from the hits. The Yeti LT’s Sixfinity suspension offers a nice supple feel off the top and still offered sufficient support to push off for direction changes or to pop into the air.
As speeds increased I found myself adding a bit more compression to the shock to see if I could change how much travel I was using out back as it didn’t quite feel in sync with the fork. I was pleased to see that while I did feel a bit more energy transmission through the bike, it was still comfortable overall. From here I will experiment with shock reducers and leverage rate chips to see if I can find a nice balance of front and rear suspension and how much travel I’m using. I’m very interested to see what settings other testers land on with this bike.
Moving beyond the suspension of the Yeti LT, I really liked the length of the rear end and how balanced I felt between the wheels. I noticed that in several corners my brain was actually telling me to move my chest forward more, or lean forward further. The LT offers a lot of confidence, traction and really inspires trust, even from an early stage.
While much of my preliminary testing took place at the bike park, I realize that this bike will be responsible for getting its rider to the top under more modest means. When it came to climbing efficiency, I was actually quite surprised at the efficiency of the rear suspension compared to how supple it is. Whether it was seated spins, out of the saddle grinds or a hard sprint, the Yeti LT holds its own, in true Yeti fashion. Some aspects of the climbing performance will vary greatly depending on your chainstay length option, High/Low and wheelsize, but for me, in dual 29 I felt the bike is more than competent for an enduro rig and I’d be happy to pedal this on some bigger days so long as the downhills were worthy of it.
The new Yeti LT is a truly inspirational bike here in the Wolf Den and we’re excited to see how the public enjoys it on their own trails because we are absolutely loving it on ours.

THE NEW YETI LT
July 14, 2026
THE HISTORY LESSON
SB160 | ONE OF THE WINNINGEST RIGS IN ENDURO HISTORY.
The SB160 was built on the championship legacy of its predecessors. Between Richie Rude, Slawomir Lukasik and the Yeti / FOX Factory team, the SB160 has won multiple EDR World Cup Stages, three EDR World Cup titles, multiple National titles and the 2025 EDR World Championship since its launch in 2022. A legend fit for the legends who raced it, the SB160 has been one of the most successful race bikes Yeti has ever produced, which is saying a lot.
160E | THE FIRST E-MTB BUILT FOR RACING.
A first of its kind, the 160e was explicitly built for the demands of e-MTB Enduro racing, an unheard-of approach back in 2021 when we launched it. Raced under legends like Mick Hannah, Richie Rude, Jared Graves and Ryan Gilchrist, the 160e proved to be a winner with multiple E-EDR stage wins, an E-EDR World Championship with George Swift and an E-EDR Enduro World Cup with Ryan Gilchrist.
We proved that we could compete at the highest level with the Sixfinity suspension platform, which could be explicitly tuned for the power and weight of an e-MTB.
The legacy of the 160e continues with the LTe, our newest full power e-MTB beast.
DH | BACK TO DH.
First launched on our 160e to handle the specific requirements of an e-MTB, the nerds at Yeti re-applied Sixfinity in a whole new way with one singular goal in mind: to build the fastest Downhill Mountain Bike ever. The Special Projects DH bike not only provided a platform for Yeti / FOX Factory to return to World Cup DH, but also provided valuable testing and development for the Sixfinity platform.

JAN 2016 | PROTOTYPE V1 – SIXFINITY
A DECADE 0F SWEATING DETAILS.
Behind the scenes, Sixfinity has been in development for 10+ years, first conceived by our Engineering team back in 2016 to build on the kinematics we loved so much from Switch Infinity. Sixfinity provides a platform that was infinitely tunable, so a test mule was built and fabricated to test the new platform.
A 27.5 aluminum mule, built on the SB66 and SB95 tube set, machined and built in house and ridden on our local trails, this platform provided a proof of concept for our new kinematic theories. Both pedal and eMTB variants were created, which proved to be invaluable as Yeti approached our first eMTB offerings with the 160e.

SEPT 2019 | PROTOTYPE – 130 TRAIL – SIXFINITY
CUTTING A NEW MOLD.
In 2019, we then applied the progressive geometry that Yeti helped pioneer with our SB130 and SB150 and cut a carbon mold to further test Sixfinity. Our goals included testing the platform on 29” trail-bike applications and continue to explore tunability.
While alloy mules are quick to develop, we chose to cut a carbon fiber mold so we could better understand the nuanced balance of stiffness, strength, and weight that more closely represents what we would experience in a production version.
We also knew that Sixfinity provided a platform that was uniquely positioned to deliver incredibly tunable power and weight for the newly emerging e-MTB category. We decide the best place to launch the platform was with the 160e.

JULY 2022 | PROTOTYPE – DH SPECIAL PROJECTS
WORLD CUP PROVEN.
When Richie Rude let us know he wanted to get back to World Cup DH, we rallied around him and the Engineering team designed and built the first Special Projects DH bike using Sixfinity. There is no better test than World Cup racing. Over the next few seasons, the Special Projects DH platform brought us back to DH with multiple podiums and a UCI DHI World Series berth for the Yeti / FOX Factory Program.

FEB 2024 | PROTOTYPE – LT SUPER MULE
THE SUPER MULE.
After the commercial and performance success we realized with the 160e and DH Special Project bikes, along with our continued commitment to Sixfinity with MTe and LTe, the decision was made to take Sixfinity to our next generation of pedal trail and enduro bikes.
Before production bike designs began, we wanted to test new ideas. The “Super mule” allowed us to test a wide variety of leverage rates, 6 different chainstay lengths, various bottom bracket heights, head angles, and reach.
By the time thorough testing was done on this bike, we not only had confidence that Sixfinity was ready for pedal, but we had also proven new geometry innovations for the next generation of bikes.

IT’S TIME
After a decade plus of testing, race-winning performance and a line of e-MTB bikes that have been praised for their incredible ride performance, Sixfinity is expanding in our line.
THE HELL YES OF SIXFINITY.
Built around the World Cup-winning suspension, Sixfinity gives riders unprecedented traction, composure while pedaling and superior efficiency. Bold statement? Yes, but consider the facts.
Unlike any other platform we’ve ever experienced, its unique six-bar design allows endless tunability for all platforms and assist levels – from DH to eMTB.
Whether acoustic or e-powered, Sixfinity can precisely control acceleration and deceleration responses, while tailoring leverage rates for the intended use case. All with executional fidelity few can achieve.

MASTER OF THE SIX BAR.
All six bars control the wheel path and drive the shock for independent
custom-tuned control of acceleration and deceleration – tuned for every
frame size.
KINEMATICS
Sixfinity can achieve maximum control across three key kinematic metrics: Acceleration Response (Anti-Squat), Deceleration Response (Anti-Rise), and Leverage Rate. Tunability is nearly infinite, making Sixfinity highly versatile, and allowing us to tune the desired kinematics independently.
STRUCTURE
With Sixfinity, the loads are optimally distributed, resulting in increased structural triangulation and durability through the travel range. The Sixfinity design enables deliberate, optimal bearing selection and is not constrained by packaging, ensuring the correct bearing is used at each pivot.
SCALING
In addition to the increased kinematic control, Sixfinity enables optimized kinematics for geometric scaling. Each frame size is treated as a unique design, with like parts carefully repositioned to achieve the desired kinematics and geometry, with hardpoints uniquely optimized for each size.

ANATOMY OF SIX.
01 ROCKER LINK
Drives shock and critical connection point for timing link to drive switch link.
02 TIMING LINK
Rotates around Rocker Link pivot to drive direction of the switch link.
03 SWITCH LINK
As the Switch Link moves up, pedaling support is delivered, with a higher anti-squat centered at sag extending across the pedaling zone. As the Switch link moves down, the anti-squat sharply drops off for descending performance.
ACCELERATION RESPONSE.
Anti-squat can be tuned precisely at sag to better balance “pedal anywhere” efficiency with descending performance.
With Sixfinity, we maintain the same dual-behavior anti-squat strategy as we deliver with Switch Infinity, but with even greater control. Sixfinity allows additional anti-squat tuning based on power input, travel and ride intent.
Sixfinity Anti-squat magnitudes scale inversely with power assist. The unassisted (power limited) LT anti-squat magnitude is greater than their assisted (traction limited) LTe counterpart. This results in the best balance of efficiency and traction for drastically different systems.
Sixfinity provides a greater fidelity in controlling both the shape and magnitude of the anti-squat curves, while allowing a wide range of anti-rise and leverage outputs, all while balancing efficiency and traction for the exact desired kinematic blend.
DECELERATION RESPONSE.
Sixfinity can be tuned for desired traction while balancing geometry preservation while braking, a key to a well-tuned deceleration response.
The magnitude of the LT anti-rise curve is slightly lower than its SB160 predecessor, striking an ideal balance between traction and geometry preservation when braking.
With carefully tuned anti-rise magnitudes that remain consistent throughout the travel, Sixfinity can stand poised for the inevitable big hit that’s coming when you’re on the brakes – Providing predictable performance in all braking scenarios. It’s this trait – combined with the switching behavior of the acceleration response that puts Sixfinity in a performance class all its own.

RACE WINNING RATES.
With the LT, you can adjust the Sixfinity progression rate to fine tune to your riding style and shock choice with the flip of a chip. Choose racy and consistent, balanced, or plush then poppy with more bottom out resistance. We again focus on the linear shape of our leverage curves on the LT suspension to provide consistent, confidence-inspiring predictability.
LT CHIP POSITIONS: 15%, 20%, 25%

TAILORED TUNES.
Off the shelf is just a starting point, but in-house shock tuning is the unlock.
Yeti tunes shocks in-house, on every bike, delivering custom shim stacks for all of our models. Working directly with our Engineering, Product and Race teams, Yeti’s R&D Mechanic Dave ‘DZ’ Ziegman runs endless shock tune iterations until the ride characteristics aren’t just good, they’re exactly right for the platform.

FEATURES
TURQ CARBON ONLY.
The LT is only available in our top-tier TURQ series carbon, built on an optimized schedule of high-performance carbon plies for strength and stiffness, plus Vectran® liquid-crystal-polymer multifilament yarn for increased impact strength.
TURQ carbon is not only our lightest – it also maintains maximum impact resistance, durability and stiffness, all with a fatigue-reducing flex profile to mute trail vibration.

THE CAVITY™
Frame storage stashes tools, tubes, snacks, or extra layers, keeping them out of your pockets or pack, and moving the weight low where it works. The bulkhead and frame bag keep things snug inside.
A CNC-machined, roller-cam lever mechanism with detent spring provides a smooth lever action and a positive, secure attachment when closed. The Dual-density door features an over-mold rubber gasket for better fitment and sealing.
ACCESSORY MOUNT.
Additional top-tube accessory mount allows you to carry extras without using external strap solutions.

PERFECT ALIGNMENT.
The LT carries forward our World Cup winning, precision-machined shock linkage. Designed for perfect shock alignment, it uses floating collet axles and a self-aligning rocker link to further smooth the action, adding to that unreal Sixfinity feel on the trail. Plus, it uses standard sized cartridge bearings to make service no big deal. Sixfinity provides better alignment for improved bearing life and less service for the rider.
Battle tested on the World Cup, Sixfinity has proven to deliver world class reliability. It all adds up to one thing: Speed, baby!
Airtag® and Tile® tracking locators below the frame storage embrace a welcome layer of security that can offer a technological hand should your LT ever go missing.
Dropper travel is based on frame size, with 150mm posts on small frames, 180mm on medium frames, and 210mm on large and extra-large frames.
With cables housed in molded carbon guide tubes secured with our tried and true cable capture ports at entry and exits, plus with the redesigned chain-slap silencer, the action stays beautifully hushed.
GEO THAT CRACKS THE CODE.
LT geometry couldn’t be conjured on a whiteboard or noodled in software. Numbers learned and proven from a direct lineage to the winningest enduro bike in history, and years of testing Sixfinity prototypes to explore a more balanced rider position.
Founded on a design that does away with the need for specific frames for MX or dual 29. Untethered rider stability and front-wheel traction with longer size-specific chain stays for winning speed and rider balance – delivering a bigger balanced sweet spot for all riders.
Fore/aft balance delivers intuitive handling that will have riders reveling while climbing and descending, producing more confidence at speed than any Enduro bike we have designed.
Enter the sweet spot of Enduro geometry.

LONGER, SIZE-SPECIFIC MODULAR DROPOUTS.
Longer rear-centers for each frame size work to optimize front/rear balance, boost climbing performance, and improve descending stability and speed. Want to enhance this even more? You can further adjust with an additional +10mm to match your preference. Larger rear center length adjustments between sizes ensures that riders of any size enjoy a more balanced feel and increased traction.

CHANGE THE WHEEL KEEP THE GEOMETRY.
The LT is truly tunable for the widest spectrum of riders looking to get the most out of a long travel rig. A flip-chip allows riders switch between dual-29 or MX setups with zero compromise to geometry.
Another chip lets you slacken the geo by an additional 0.5°, with a 6mm reduction to BB height when running MX wheels.
