We tested the Leatt AllMtn 6.0 Flat pedals in Frost Bronze, and their striking looks had us excited from the get-go. Could these eye-catching machined alloy flat pedals by protection and apparel specialists Leatt provide a level of performance that matches the finish? Our member Kevin was excited to find out.

ABOUT THE LEATT ALLMTN 6.0 FLAT PEDAL
The Leatt AllMtn 6.0 Flat pedals are designed for aggressive trail, all-mountain, and gravity riding. Built from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum, they combine an impressively lightweight construction with a wide, supportive platform. Leatt offers the AllMtn 6.0 pedals in a choice of two widths – 100mm or 107mm – with a consistent 114mm length, giving riders the ability to customize the pedal platform to their foot size.
The body of Leatt’s aggressive flat pedals features a deep 5mm concave shape, giving a locked-in feeling to maximize traction and confidence. Helping to secure the feet in place are a total of 10 pins per side, seven of which are threaded through-pins, with the remaining three being top-loading diamond studs.

At 381 grams per pair, they remain competitive without feeling fragile. Leatt pairs a forged and CNC-machined chromoly steel axle to their CNC’d alloy body to give a competitive 380g weight for the pair. A fully serviceable triple-bearing system consisting of a self-lubricating bushing, needle bearing, and sealed ball bearing lets them spin smoothly, with a tuned resistance to facilitate easier foot placement. Quad lip seals help keep contamination out — something I appreciate, coming from a very wet and muddy British riding background.
There is a choice of three anodized colorways, featuring a shot-peened finish to improve durability. Leatt tested the AllMtn 6.0 flat pedals to the EFBE EPAC Gravity TRI-TEST® Category 5 certification, verifying their strength for aggressive mountain bike use. The Leatt AllMtn 6.0 flat pedals retail for $186 / £149.

THE DIRT
Out on the trail, the Leatt AllMtn 6.0 flat pedals quickly disappeared beneath me in the best possible way. A reassuringly stable platform gave my feet a secure, natural position, especially when things got rough or steep. Riding rocky and Rooty trails here in the PNW means constant impacts and fast line adjustments, and the Leatts handled it all without ever feeling like they lacked grip.
The 5mm concavity worked exceptionally well with modern flat pedal shoes, giving that “locked-in” sensation, yet still allowing enough freedom to make small foot adjustments when needed. That balance is difficult to get right, but Leatt has done a very good job here. That is to say, they are not the grippiest pedals that money can buy, but they never left me wishing for more.
The rotational resistance is also worth noting — the pedals didn’t spin freely like some alternative designs, which made it easier to reset foot placement after a dab or sketchy moment. The resistance was light enough to prevent any notable drag when pedaling. The even pin layout, combined with the concave platform shape, contributed to a consistent underfoot feel without hot spots.

Coming from the UK, I’m skeptical about sealing and durability claims, because British winters tend to expose weaknesses quickly. After countless wet PNW rides, muddy conditions, and repeated washes, the bearings still felt smooth, with no hint of play developing. Overall, the build quality on the Leatt AllMtn 6.0 flat pedals felt genuinely premium and proved to hold up to the test of time. You would hope so with their high price tag, but it feels as if Leatt has provided the quality to back up their expense.
Compared to ultra-thin flat pedal offerings, the 16mm thickness was noticeable on paper. On the trail, it rarely stood out, likely due to the aggressively chamfered leading and trailing edges. The added support and planted feel more than justified the thickness, and with such a low weight, there was little to improve. They feel like a proper set of pedals — sturdy, dependable, and built to take abuse without complaint. A bit like an old Land Rover, only considerably lighter and less likely to leak oil.
The Wolf’s Last Word
The Leatt AllMtn 6.0 Flat pedals combine impressive grip, excellent stability, and premium construction into a package that feels genuinely confidence-inspiring on trail. They provide a solid, supportive platform without becoming overly stuck, making them equally at home on technical climbs, rough descents, and long days in the saddle.
While they aren’t the slimmest pedals available, that isn’t an issue in real-world riding. The supportive platform, controlled feel, and excellent durability more than justify the design. For riders wanting a dependable flat pedal that balances grip, stability, and long-term serviceability, the AllMtn 6.0 is an easy recommendation. They simply get on with the job — no drama, no fuss, just solid performance ride after ride. And they look excellent while doing it. ![]()

ABOUT THE WOLF

I grew up in the UK riding whatever I could get my hands on—from a brakeless BMX (perfect for bombing hills on dares) to a road bike I swore was built for epic grass skids, and finally a 40-pound mountain bike with ‘groundbreaking’ triple cranks. I was hooked.
I’ve been riding in the Pacific Northwest for about 25 years now, though it started with a rusted dumpster-find from my Florida days. That clunker became my first Oakridge trail bike—back when smartphones didn’t exist and trail maps were more myth than reality. I got lost often, climbed the wrong hills, and learned the land the hard way, getting fitter with every misstep.
All of it was done on a fully rigid, steel-framed Raleigh M-80 with rim brakes that sizzled like bacon in the wet.
Fast forward to now, and it feels like sci-fi—e-bikes, carbon everything, ABS hydraulic brakes, and suspension that floats. What a time to ride.
