ABOUT THE DAYSAVER INCREDIBLE PUMP MTB
The Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB aims to blend a compact form factor and low weight with solid usability, thanks to a telescoping aluminum design. The cavity is designed to house the Daysaver Incredible line tools, giving further space efficiency for those looking to ensure they have the necessary tools for their ride without a bulky, heavy loadout.
Offered in a choice of two volumes – the 40HV at $99.95 / €99.95 or 80HV at $124.95 / €119.95 – the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB supports inflation pressures up to 80 psi (5.5 Bar), making it compatible with mountain bikes and gravel bikes. As standard, there is a push-on Presta head that will also work on Klic Valve, but for those looking for an improved pumping experience, a thread-on, pull-off hose is available. This can be stored inside the Incredible tool cavity when not in use.

The 40HV pump stores one Daysaver Incredible tool unit, while the 80HV pump stores two, with a sprung design to prevent rattle. The Daysaver Incredible line features the Incredible8 modular multitool, Coworking7TL tool tested (explained below), the Incredible DART; or the cavity can house the optional pump hose. Using a telescoping design, the 40HV is impressively compact at 124mm (4.9”) by 27.5mm (1.1”) diameter, while the 80HV is 223mm (8.8”) with the same diameter.
The smooth edges and compact design of the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB 40HV makes it possible to transport in your pocket, pack, or most internal frame storage solutions. For those looking for secure mounting to the frame with quick access, the $/€19.95 frame mount gives a clip-in solution, which can be combined with their Essential 8 Bike Tool Mount for a sleek, complete tool solution.

ABOUT THE DAYSAVER COWORKING7TL TOOL
As one of the Daysaver Incredible Line tools, the Coworking7TL is compatible with the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB internal storage, or the other Incredible line mounting solutions such as in the bike handlebar. Retailing for $55.95 / €49.95, this sleek tool is not cheap, but produces a very neat solution when combined with the pump.
With tire plugs and a plug insertion tool; blade; master link storage area; and a chain breaker with integrated #0 spoke wrench and valve core tool, the Coworking7TL has seven tools built into its 39g aluminum construction.
The tire plug insertion tool features a side-loading design for quick plug insertion. Using the included blade, the excess plug can be cut, with the stainless steel blade offering utility for cutting other objects. The chain breaker is compatible with 10 to 13-speed chains, including SRAM Flat Top, and operates with a T25 torx key.

THE DIRT
I’ve been carrying the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB 40HV with a Coworking7TL on my test bikes for quite some time. Whether sitting inside my hip pack or clipped onto a frame using the Bike Pump Frame Mount, it flew under the radar thanks to its small volume, low weight, and sleek design. The frame mount and its clip design were incredibly satisfying to use, offering a secure, low-profile solution to attach to frame tool bosses.
When it came time to use it, the Incredible Pump MTB packed a reasonable punch for its small 40cc size. Its telescopic design was satisfying to use, quickly and reliably extending and locking into pump mode with a twist. Being a small capacity pump, it took a while to get meaningful air flowing into a high-volume tire, but its smooth operation felt efficient. It didn’t require a large force to get a tire up to pressure, and there wasn’t an excessive buildup of heat to cause an increase in force. If pumping speed is your priority, then the 80HV pump will be more to your liking. But as a compromise of size and performance, I was very happy with the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB 40HV.
The push-on, pull-off connection style was not my favorite, due to the load it applied to the valve stem when pumping hard. For long-term ownership, I would consider purchasing the optional thread-on, pull-off hose add-on. That said, the standard pump got the job done so long as I was careful to support the valve during pumping, and it retained the storage capacity within the pump for the Coworking7TL tool or one of the other Incredible Line tools.

The Coworking7TL tool thankfully wasn’t called into action too frequently, but it was put to the ultimate test one time when I was far away from base and getting close to exhaustion. A sharp rock put a decent gash in the tread of my rear tire, and I reacted quickly to pull the pump off the Commencal Tempo it was mounted to and put the plugger to work. Having to remove the knife from the plugger was a little tricky in a rush, but loading up the plug and plunging it into the tire was straightforward. The gash was sizeable enough to require two bacon strips, so I was thankful to get the second one in as easily as the first and plug up the hole. The knife then came into its own to cut the plug down nice and short to prevent it catching the trail. After some pumping to get the tire back up to pressure, I was able to get back to pedaling. Day saved.
The spoke wrench also came in clutch on a ride where a hire bike rear wheel decided to fall apart. The connection on the nipples wasn’t the most solid, but it got the job done and brought the wheel back up to a safe tension with sufficient ergonomics to avoid it being arduous. Where some multitool spoke keys can be extremely difficult to use for more than a quick tweak, the Daysaver solution here was much more usable.
Offering further potential to save the day is the legit chain breaker and the provision to store a quick link. I didn’t have to call either of these into action, but testing the chain breaker quickly on an old chain, I was satisfied by its ergonomics and effectiveness.
I wanted to ensure plentiful trail time was spent using the Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB and Coworking7TL, following some issues sustained using the Incredible8 and Essential8 multi tools. The replacements of those tools are still in testing, and I’ll report back once I’ve spent sufficient time on them. But for now, it seems as if the pump and plug/chain tool is suitably durable to be depended on to save the day on your adventures.
The Wolf’s Last Word
The Daysaver Incredible Pump MTB 40HV and Coworking7TL combination offers an excellent tool solution for tire pumping and plugging, and chain and spoke repairs. While it is quite pricey, its effective performance and sleek, compact and lightweight design may be worth the investment. ![]()
