Portable Electric Mini Pump Group Review

THE BEST PORTABLE ELECTRIC MINI-PUMPS OF 2025

From Roadside Fixes to Trailside Flats—The Top Mini Pumps You Can Count On

Tested by Travis Reill & Drew Rohde

October 9, 2025

While we’ve not seen any in-use while in the wild, it seems more and more brands are offering electric mini-pumps, for inflating bike tires. Over the months we’ve been putting quite a few of these units to the test. Like you, we’ve all had a flat tire that has ruined a ride We’d hope that after learning a few hard lessons we’d strive for improvement, yet we’re guilty of still occasionally being ill-prepared for the unexpected. Whether that’s “just a short ride, I’ll be fine,” or the, “I totally forgot I took my CO2 out of my hip pack for a recent airplane flight and forgot to replace it!” Either way, it’s never fun to be stuck without a way to pump up a flat tire out on the trail. For riders who are looking for a third option to the manual pump or CO2 inflation techniques of yesteryear, these new electric mini-pumps could be the next wave of the future. No more disposable cartridges, sore forearms and they’re easily rechargeable, plus they don’t take up a ton of room, though they are a bit heavier than those old school options we’ve used for decades.

If you’re interested in making the switch, we’ve reviewed six mini air pumps in a head-to-head test to see who’s quietest, fastest, most accurate and which one we’d likely keep in our own packs.

Muc-Off’s AirMach Electric Mini is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and includes a removable silicon case. The pump charges via USB-C ports and works with Presta, Schrader, and Muc-Off’s Big Bore valve stems. Although it lacks a digital display screen, it is the most affordable and one of the smallest electric pumps in the group. For those who would like a digital display, Muc-Off does have a newer model with a screen which retails for $140.

Website: Trekbikes.com

The Trek Air Rush mini electric pump was far and above the most accurate pump of all those we tested. While the other pumps were typically a couple of PSI off, the Air Rush inflated our test tire to within 0.1 PSI of our desired setting. While being the most accurate of all the electric pumps, the Trek Air Rush also has one of the longest battery lives, making it a unit we’d think very hard about adding to our tool bag.

The Fix Eflator Mini takes up minimal room in your pack while weighing roughly the same as two CO2 cartridges. The Eflator will have you back riding in approximately one and a half minutes, but note that it was a couple of PSI over our desired target. Like many of the pumps in this lineup, Fix designed the Eflator to work with both Schrader and Presta valves, and they also include a needle for ball inflation.

Website: Cycplus.com

The Cycplus AS2 Pro is easily one of the smallest and lightest mini compressors in the group. It is also the fastest by a long shot, beating all other pumps by 33 seconds on average. However, speed comes with an accuracy penalty, as the Cycplus AS2 Pro was 2.5 PSI under our desired target. Once you know the units accuracy discrepancy however, it would be easy enough to add 2.5 PSI to your selected inflation number and rest assured you’d be pretty dialed. Despite the accuracy, we like the units size, speed and sound.

Website: Topeak.com

Topeak’s E-Booster was the largest and heaviest mini compressor out of the group. Despite its stout size, it can still easily fit into a hip pack, although in-frame storage (depending on the bike) might be out of the question for this one. The E-Booster is also the most expensive pump in the lineup.

The Wolf’s Last Word

Different pumps had some distinct features that set them apart. We loved the speed of the Cycplus as well as the accuracy and ease of use of Trek’s Air Rush. Our Muc-Off pump didn’t have a display screen, but newer options do. If we’re being honest, we’d be happy to ride with just about any of these in our hip pack but we felt that the Cycplus AS2 Pro would likely be our pick as it was compact, fast and quiet. That being said, they all got the job done just fine, we’d suggest you look for what is on sale and find a good deal on whichever unit excites you most.
