Behind The Designs

Custom Bikes And Kits Of 2025

January 8, 2026

In 2024, the Norco Race Division didn’t just join the circuit; they redefined it with a visual identity that broke the mould. For 2025, designer Nicole Hall set out to push that energy even further, moving beyond a simple refresh to create an entirely new visual universe. The goal was balance: celebrating each rider’s individuality while reinforcing their bond as a cohesive unit.

Each athlete received a unique pattern and two-colour palette for instant recognition out of the start gate. At the same time, every bike features a mosaic of all teammates’ patterns on the top tube, a subtle but powerful reminder that the whole division is hitting the descent together.

Behind The Design Norco Race Division

The aesthetic itself draws from the sharp lines and shifting shadows of modern architecture. Hall was inspired by the way light interacts with building facades, creating a depth and texture that feels entirely new to the downhill world. This concept evolved into a “split” theme that runs through both the kits and the frames. Each bike is divided down the centre, offering two distinct personalities depending on your vantage point. Kit colours are inverted against the frames to heighten contrast and create visual movement. It’s a look that feels both technical and raw, finished off with a “sticker-slap” aesthetic that carries over the 80’s moto energy of the team’s inaugural year.

For the world’s biggest stage, the World Championships, national flags from Canada, Austria, the UK, and New Zealand were scaled into full-frame graphics, unifying the team across different national jerseys. The emotional centrepiece of the collection is a tribute to Danny Hart and one of the most legendary moments in downhill history, reimagining his iconic 2011 Champéry World Championship kit with a modern Norco interpretation. It is a powerful bridge between a historic achievement and the team’s current pursuit of the podium.

More than just looking fast, the 2025 design defines the identity of a record-breaking team. From first sketches to final prototypes, Hall’s work captures the momentum of the season and points it toward the 2026 World Cup.
