MILES AFTER MOTHERHOOD
RACHEL STRAIT’S RETURN TO THE START LINE
October 29, 2025
Seventy-six miles. Ten thousand feet of climbing. Endless Utah singletrack. When Rachel Strait lined up for the Park City Point 2 Point just seven months after welcoming her second child, she wasn’t chasing a podium. She was chasing perspective.
Miles After Motherhood, a new short film from Ari Bicycles, captures Rachel’s comeback and celebrates the balance between ambition, family, and the freedom found on two wheels.
The Point 2 Point is one of North America’s toughest endurance races, known for its relentless elevation and unbroken trail. For Rachel, it became a way to reconnect with herself and redefine what strength looks like after motherhood.
“You know, people said I was selfish for racing,” Rachel shares. “But being a mom doesn’t mean you stop being yourself. I wanted my kids to see that you can still chase big goals and finish them.”
Riding Ari’s newly redesigned Signal Peak, Rachel set out to prove that endurance is as much mental as physical. “After having Harvey, I needed something to work toward, something that made me feel like me again,” she says.
Supported by her family, Rachel crossed the line with tears of exhaustion and joy. “I’m seven months postpartum, and I just finished Point to Point. It was harder than I imagined, but that’s what made it worth it.
