FRENCH KISS

A LES GETS MIXTAPE BY SHREDDER

October 15, 2026

We drop everything whenever we see a new Shredder video pop up, and the Les Gets Mixtape did not disappoint. Good vibes!

‘FRENCH KISS’ is a look back at race week at the Les Gets World Cup, captured in the style of the video magazines I grew up watching in the late ’90s and early ’00s.

Track walk, practice, Q1 and Q2 sit alongside a bike check with Dan Roberts, a quick story with Dan Wolfe, XCC coverage, and a quick look through some of Jano Caamaño Riveiro’s incredible photography. It all ends with a nod to the spectators on finals day, who make these events what they are.

As it happens, the Panasonic camcorder I chose to document the race was released in 2008, the same year Sam Hill raced the iconic bike that Dan Roberts modelled his Garage Bike Project, modern-day replica on.

A few days at my favourite race of the season, pieced together the old-skool way.
