With the development of Aerothane Tubes we have broken new ground right from the start. The result is a high-end alternative to conventional bicycle tubes. The Aerothan is a next-generation tube that sets completely new standards in terms of weight, puncture resistance, handling characteristics, ease of assembly and pack size. Specially designed for racing bikes , MTBs or all-round use .

AEROTHAN IS 100% RECYCLABLE
Aerothan tubes consist of 100% (including valve) a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and are therefore completely recyclable. Like all Schwalbe hoses, Aerothan Tubes can be easily and free of charge returned to Schwalbe via the hose recycling program. The material of the used hoses is processed and then reused as a seal or insulation material.

The engineers have to combine the apparent contradictions of lightest weight and maximum puncture resistance. A case for the Schwalbe Innovation Hub, where material compositions and construction principles are redeveloped in order to design unprecedented products. The Aerothan Tube was created in cooperation with BASF and experts in German plastics processing, which not only meets the expectations of a high-end bicycle tube, but exceeds them.
