Here at The Loam Wolf we firmly believe bikes can be more than just fun. They can be a therapy device, they can save lives and offer a renewed spirit. For that reason we’re all about helping more people get on bikes and experience the outdoors. Our friends at Trips for Kids are actively trying to raise funds this week, just $7,000 will help them and if everyone chipped in, I know we could beat their goal! Let’s get more kids outside and on bikes.
Thank you for the help

According to the Child Mind Institute, the average American child spends only 4 to 7 minutes a day playing outside and over 7 hours a day in front of a screen. Don’t you think we should do better for our youth?
Studies show that riding a bicycle allows kids to:
- build self-confidence
- build endurance
- reduce stress and fatigue
- improve mental and cognitive health
Last year our Trips for Kids Community took more than 3,600 kids on 457 trail rides. Kids that would not normally have the opportunity to ride a bike.
That means 3,600 kids got outside, connected to nature, exercised, and had the chance to mentally escape from their daily lives. Our leaders know how a bicycle ride can touch the lives of kids in many ways.
Kids like Carolyn.
“Thank you. I know that everyone else is just going to say just thanks for the ride, but that’s not me. I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety. But this ride that we went on helped me feel free. I got to take a moment to forget about all my worries and inner demons. To forget about all the hardships and stress in my life right now. So I want to say thank you for honestly helping me find another reason to live.”
