Built For Enduro

Following on from the successful launch of our mixed wheel INTENSE Tracer 279 Enduro bike back in April (2022), we are pleased to introduce you to the all-new INTENSE Tracer 29… yep, 29” wheels front and rear.

The new INTENSE Tracer 29 has been completely reengineered for 2022 and takes the place of the Carbine in our Enduro range. With 170mm (6.7”) of travel and a 29” wheelset the Tracer 29, alongside our mixed wheel Tracer 279 & S models, completes our Enduro bike line-up.

We’ve always thought that an Enduro bike needs to do two things: eat-up mountainous terrain on the downhills and climb back up to do it all again. With our new Tracer 29 we believe that you can do just that. Much like our Tracer 279 we have created a bike that is capable, whilst also being fast, fun and agile, with 29” wheels front and rear giving even greater stability and trail flattening speed.

The Tracer 29 borrows inspiration and technology from our M29 downhill bike, utilizing its bottom link driven rear shock and progressive rear suspension – designed to be active and lively at the start of travel, with solid mid stroke support, and then firming up towards the end. This creates a bike with plush suspension for the roughest of descents, and a firm pedal platform when needed. We’ve also positioned the rear shock low down and centered in the frame, allowing the Tracer to descend and handle terrain impeccably.

The Tracer 29 is available in three sizes (M, L and XL), and with a reach ranging from 455mm – 505mm, a 64.4º headangle (HI setting), and a 77.7º seatangle (Effective) the Tracer 29 is very much in line with the new-school way of thinking when it comes to ‘longer, lower, slacker’ geometry. Add in Flip Chip two-position adjustable geometry, our CHAD in-frame storage system and a threaded bottom bracket and you have a bike that ticks all the Enduro boxes… and yeah, you can fit a water bottle too!

We have two complete build options and also a frame-only package (all featuring air rear shocks/suspension). The Tracer 29 Pro (€6499/£5799) is available now, the DVO spec’d Tracer 29 Expert (€5499/£4999) will be available in early 2023 and the Factory Frame (€3399/£2999) will be available from December 15, 2022.

The Tracer has been in our INTENSE line-up for nearly two decades, and we believe that this all-new Tracer range represents everything INTENSE stands for in 2022 and beyond.
