We are excited to announce the Westslope Chainless Challenge, a pump track race to be held on the Colorado Mesa University track, built by PumpTrax USA. The Campus is just blocks from downtown Grand Junction, Colorado and a short drive from some of the best mountain biking Colorado has to offer. The event will be held on Saturday August 21st, 2021 with racing well into the night.

Pump Track is one of the most exciting and competitive disciplines in the world of cycling. It is community focused and will have the crowds cheering all day long. The Westslope Chainless Challenge is focused around an invitational pro class with a cash purse of $9k, and an amateur open class with a product mix for prizes worth $7K.

Although we are still a few months away from our inaugural race, we have had confirmations from some of the highest caliber athletes in the sport; both current UCI Pump Track World Champions Payton Ridenour and Tommy Zula, 2x BMX Olympian Nic Long, Barry Nobles a multi-Crankworx and BMX National Champion, one of the best up and coming Crankworx athletes in the world Jordy Scott, and many more confirmations to come.

Registration is open now with limited availability and a focus on local riders to Grand Junction. We hope the WCC becomes a staple in the sport and for the growing community within the Western Slope of Colorado.
